Value Chain Stage: Fabric

Fabric is a planar structure consisting of yarns or fibers. Greige fabric typically refers to fabric that has not undergone chemical or colorant treatment. Fabric constructed from yarn can be interlaced (woven), interloped (knitted), knotted, or intertwined to form the fabric. When yarn is not present, fibers can be adhered together using a variety of bonding methods to form what is commonly referred to as a nonwoven fabric or felt.
